We have been serving customers since 1973 and are leaders in dumpster rental, refuse & scrap metal hauling, and heavy truck repairs. We believe that people who care about giving the best service to our customers are the key to our success. We are known for great service, small town values, and courteous employees.
How soon can I get a dumpster delivered?
In the Kewaunee/Algoma area, same day delivery is available most days if you call by 10am (Monday – Friday). Outside of the area, next-day service is available (Monday – Friday). Saturday service is available for some areas for an additional fee. Please contact us for more info.
Do I have to be there for the delivery?
We prefer that someone be on-site for the delivery to ensure the placement is correct and to sign a delivery agreement. The agreement has important information regarding proper usage of the dumpster, prohibited materials, liability, surface needs, etc. However, if you cannot be on-site, we can have you sign the waiver in advance via email or fax.
Where can I place the dumpster?
Dumpsters are most usually placed in driveways. Placing a dumpster in the street may be feasible, but you must contact the municipality first to see if it’s allowed; you may be required to get a permit with a fee. Placing a dumpster on the lawn is typically not advisable as it will cause damage. Driveways must have a firm foundation or the combined weight of the dumpster, contents, and truck could cause damage. If you have any concerns please call our office at (920)388-3553 we would be happy to discuss them. Depending on the type of project, our 6 yd dumpster may be a good option; the dumpster and the truck that services it weigh considerably less than the 12, 20, and 30 yds. Adequate space for the dumpster and truck is needed. Please see the information about dumpster size for space requirements.
Do you have a fuel surcharge like my current provider?
Currently, we do have a fuel surcharge. However, this surcharge is removed when the price per gallon of diesel fuel drops to below $2.50 per gallon. Our goal is to keep your costs consistent and manageable.
I am stuck in a contract with my current provider. Are you able to assist me with that and what are my options?
We are happy to walk you through what options you may have should you be looking to make a provider change; you’ll find that our consultative approach makes this sometimes an easy process.
I don’t produce that much recycling. Do I really need to have both a trash and recycling dumpster for my business?
The State of Wisconsin Waste Reduction and Recycling Law (Statutes 287) requires recycling. We will work with you on a comprehensive needs assessment to ensure that you have the right system in place to meet all of your solid waste disposal needs.
What’s the best way to reach customer service or my sales representative?
We have instituted a customer service team answering your phone calls & email inquiries M-F 8 am – 4 pm. Our office staff are made up of local persons who know the area not from a different state or area. We can get answers to any questions you have, from billing, sales & pick-up schedules.
If I sign a service agreement, what should I expect for annual price increases?
We strive to keep price increases to a minimum so that you can effectively budget your annual waste expense. More information about this can be found on our service agreements, under the Price Guarantee Term, when you discuss your needs with a sales representative.
Do I have to sign a 3-year or longer service agreement? What other options do I have?
We do operate under a service agreement which provides a price & service guarantee, in writing, to help foster a long & successful partnership. Please talk with our salesperson to find out more.
If I were to start commercial trash and recycling service, how soon can you deliver the equipment and get me started?
In most cases, we can have equipment delivered in 1-2 business days. On occasion specific equipment may not be available and substitutions may be required until an equipment order comes in.
What are the differences between the other service providers I must choose from?
Blue Water Services offers you a local, family owned/operated option with a customer first approach. Our personalized approach has helped us to remain a strong and permanent fixture within the communities we serve for over 40 years.
Regarding commercial trash and recycling service, besides your service quote, what additional fees do you charge per month?
Currently, the only additional fee is a nominal temporary recycling recovery surcharge because of the fluctuation in the recyclable markets. Please contact our sales team for more information.
What size do I need?
There are several factors to keep in mind when choosing the best size for your needs.
- The type of project/material that you’re using the dumpster for can affect what things can be included and therefore what size you need. For instance, in a general cleanout or remodel, appliances AND SELECTED OTHER ITEMS are not acceptable. These items are charged as extras on your invoice. So, you may be able to use a smaller dumpster than you originally thought. We recommend that you try to donate and recycle as much as possible.
- All materials must fit within the dumpster; nothing can stick out over the top edge.
- The amount of space you have for placement and access.
- The surface we are setting the equipment on.
- Also keep in mind that some items may be cheaper if you recycle & self-haul to Riverview Transfer Station.
Do you have assistance to load dumpsters for me?
We work with a number of contractors who do this kind of work. We can supply you with their contact information and you can work out the details between you.
What can I put in the dumpster?
Acceptable materials that can be included and/or mixed depend on what type of project you’re using the dumpster for.
- For a general trash load (home cleanout, interior remodel, etc.), there are some materials that are prohibited from the landfill and cannot go into the dumpster, such as electronics, chemicals, brush, yard waste, tires, appliances etc.
- Clean fill loads can be a mix of masonry material: concrete, brick, rock, dirt, gravel, etc. Discounts apply for non-contaminated loads.
- Pure metal loads may receive a rebate to be applied to the cost of the hauling (value determined by the recycler).
- Please contact us if you have a unique load of materials, need to meet special recycling requirements, or have any questions.
- Contact BlueWater’s Office or call Riverview Transfer at 920-388-2223 for additional options.
How much do the dumpsters cost?
The pricing depends on the size, the material in the dumpster, and the area of delivery. Special discounts may apply for some types of materials (such as metal loads). For small projects, we use a Flat Rate pricing structure to keep things simple and straight-forward. For large scale projects, please contact our salesperson for high volume pricing based on your project’s location to the dumpsite.
Flat rate pricing includes the delivery, removal, fuel surcharge, taxes, 7 days of use (or more, depending on the season), and allowed tonnage (varies by size and material type). For instance, a 12-yard dumpster for a general trash load in cities of (Kewaunee, Algoma, Casco, Luxemburg) would be $285, including 1 ton of material ($112 per ton thereafter) and 7 days of use ($5 per day thereafter). Please contact us for pricing specific to your project.
